Animal groups will rally Thursday in Australia and the UK to
show international condemnation of a cruel trade that exploits
our national icon.
Animals Australia Executive Director, Glenys Oogjes said today:
"The commercial killing of these wonderful animals is both
cruel and unsustainable. Australians MUST be made aware of the
nightly massacres that occur."
The following actions are planned:

sell kangaroo meat only if asked) at 11:00am, progressing to
Florsheim Shoes, 175 Bourke Street. (USA company that uses kangaroo

Sydney Activists will be cutting up their DJ credit cards outside
the David Jones Food Hall in Sydney (Market Street, Sydney City)
to draw attention to the fact that David Jones broke their commitment
to Animal Liberation NSW not to sell kangaroo meat in their

over a million joeys either clubbed to death of left to die
from starvation, the industry is clearly based on cruelty and
suffering. Compassion has no priority over profits in this deadly
